Strategy,
the art of planning for future success, is an essential
part of any Companys activity. Success in todays
business world depends not only on how well a company is
managing change but whether they are managing the right
changes, and working towards the future health and success
of the company. ODAS International assists its clients in
their Strategic Management.
Effective Strategic Management is based on 4 steps.

|
|
| 1|Strategy Development
|
ODAS
International is often called
upon to assist our clients in their Strategy Development
specifying what the true strategic goals of the organisation
are. Through the application of various management models
we facilitate the management team in understanding what the
specific competencies of the organization are, identify areas
of strategic advantage and analysing their environment and
competitors.
The result of this phase is to come up with a realistic and
relevant Mission Statement,
a clear understanding of the Critical
Success Factors, and the Company
Strategy is formalized in document called the Strategic
Plan which highlights the main objectives to be reached
and the tactics to be employed. |

| 2|Strategy Management |
Once the Strategy Plan has been decided it must
be implemented.
The management team responsible for implementing the Company
Strategy and achieving the strategic goals needs to be continually
updated as to what progress is being made. This is achieved
by ensuring that the Management Control Systems are set up
to plan and measure the right indicators those relevant
to the Critical Success Factors and the milestones of the
Strategic Plan.
ODAS International has strong competencies in the design
and implementation of Management Control Systems. We analyse
existing Control Systems and assist in completing these systems.
We then identify which indicators will effectively inform
the management team of the organisation's progress towards
achieving the Company Strategy. These indicators are presented
in the Strategic Balanced Scorecard. |

| 3|Strategy
and Operations Integration |
Achieving the Strategic Plan often requires
changing the way in which the organization operates and consequently
existing organisational structures and processes are modified.
We map the existing structures and processes and analyse the
existing situation against the Strategic Plan. A Gap Analysis
shows what has to be changed and priorities are assigned according
to their strategic importance. These are listed in a document
called the Operational Goals.
These goals are then used to develop Operational
Plans for each department and appropriate measures
of performance. These are then reviewed against plan using
a Balanced Scorecard. |

| 4|Strategy
and Individual Objectives |
| Achieving the strategic goals requires change
objectives, processes and competencies. People are
required to improve or change their competencies. Training
programmes are developed, employee incentives and goals are
linked to the Strategic Plan. |
